I am so sick and tired of hearing about the swine flu. Everytime someones sniffles now everyone thinks they have swine flu! I found this on Yahoo! News.
Developments on swine flu worldwide
Key developments on swine flu outbreaks, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and government officials:
_Deaths: 29 in Mexico and two in the U.S., both in Texas. One of the U.S. deaths was announced Tuesday; Texas health officials said a woman with chronic health problems who lived near the Mexico border died this week. Last week a toddler from Mexico died at a Houston hospital.
_Confirmed sickened worldwide, 1,884: 942 in Mexico; 652 in U.S.; 165 in Canada; 57 in Spain; 27 in Britain; nine in Germany; five in Italy and New Zealand; four in Israel and France; two each in El Salvador and South Korea; one each in Austria, Costa Rica, Colombia, Denmark, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland.
_U.S. cases confirmed by CDC or states: New York, 90; Illinois, 82; California, 99; Washington, 58; Texas, 41; Massachusetts, 34; Delaware, 33; Arizona, 49; Oregon, 21; South Carolina, 16; Indiana, 15; Colorado, 10; Michigan, eight; Louisiana, North Carolina, Maine and New Jersey, seven; Missouri and Nebraska, six; Florida, Nevada, Ohio and Wisconsin, five; Alabama, Connecticut, and Maryland, four; Hawaii, New Mexico and Virginia, three; Kansas, New Hampshire and Tennessee, two; and one each in Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Utah.
_U.S. health officials said Tuesday they are no longer recommending that schools close because of suspected swine flu cases since the virus has turned out to be milder than initially feared.
If it's "milder than initially feared", why the panic?? Just the other day a friend of mine seen people walking around St. Joe with Dr masks on. Like that's really gonna help! Some claim that is a government conspiracy to get more Americans to go see the Doc and pay the outrageous bills that that entales! But as for me IDK which I believe, how bout you?? Pandemic worth worrying about or conspiracy not worth paying for???

More about Obama

Here are some interesting tidbits I found online that further support my previous claims that America is setting itself up for an EPIC FAIL!!!!
and the list goes on and on but quite frankly just these few tidbits I have listed here are enough to make my stomach turn. I am fearful for our great country's future and that of my children. I wonder if someone can get impeached for incompetance, ya think?!
•Barack Obama voted four times to allow criminal charges against homeowners who defend their person and home with a gun. Despite Obama's propensity to say and do anything to get elected, Obama's record does not match his rhetoric. In fact, Barack Obama specifically voted four times in the Illinois Legislature to allow criminal charges against a homeowner who used a firearm in self-defense of their person and home -- specifically what the Supreme Court says is a constitutional right. Obama may say he supports it, but his record says exactly the opposite.
•Obama said this during an April 17th debate: "I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right."
•Barack Obama was born of Communist activists, mentored by a communist writer and activist, spent his college days hanging around radical activists, worked as a radical community organizer learning the radical tactics of Alinsky, kept contact with radicals through the years, attends a radical church, and today lends his political skill to the international goals of radical activists, and has radicals working on his campaign.
•Almost one year has passed since Obama made his vow to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that abortion would be the first priority of his administration."The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," Obama said in his July, 2007, speech to abortion advocates worried about the increase of pro-life legislation at the state level. The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is legislation Obama has co-sponsored along with 18 other senators that would annihilate every single state law limiting or regulating abortion, including the federal ban on partial birth abortion.
• A piece of Michelle Obama's college thesis: "My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'blackness' than ever before," the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. "I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.""[My experience] will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant." "It is possible that Black individuals either chose to or felt pressured to come together . . . because of the belief that Blacks must join in solidarity to combat a White oppressor."
and the list goes on and on but quite frankly just these few tidbits I have listed here are enough to make my stomach turn. I am fearful for our great country's future and that of my children. I wonder if someone can get impeached for incompetance, ya think?!Rant about Obama
I love my country, but it is full of idiots!! I think that most (if not all) of the "love" for Obama stems from the fact that he has made history! In case you can't tell I am not an Obama fan and as bad as America is under Bush's command, I believe we have just taken an epic turn for the worse.
I think it is awesome that America finally voted for a black president but what I think is crap is that they voted him in there because he's black!
Why did we vote a man into office to become the "leader" of our country when he was photographed and quoted that he refused to place his hand over his heart when the flag was raised and the national anthem sung? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that he is against the 2nd amendment! That is so not cool!
I hope that Obama does well because, as I've said, I love this country and I want to see it come out of the crisis that is now bigger than ever. However, I am afraid Obama's platform of "Change" was really just a way of describing a larger government that is supposed to take care of the needs of every American citizen through irresponsible taxation to support bloated bureaucracy. He is not taking the responsibility of the office personally. That is not what this country has stood for in its 232 years of history, and I am upset to see it change simply because people have figured out that they can vote in the party that promises the least individual responsibility!
I apologize for getting a bit personal here, but I cannot get excited about a man who was so dishonest with the American people about what he would change and he ran his campaign with the foundation upon which his opponent had built a 26-year reputation. I have a hard time understanding the man who is so lacking in his own convictions that he feels he must include a homosexual minister in the inaugural program (really, I understand tolerance, but conforming to a standard is cowardice).
Obama is not just the most liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate. He is an ex-Marxist who, if he gets his way, will enlarge the entitlement programs and put the burden on the taxpayers. That's just what we all need, isn't it!?! As it is, he is giving $500 income tax rebates to people who did not pay income tax, making the rebate, whaddaya know: A HANDOUT. As well, he is all for giving driver licenses to illegals, and against a southern border wall.... which tells me that he is all for allowing illegals in and probably giving them citizenship. This, of course, is to enlarge the voting base of the Democrat party. Now doesn't that sound like true hope for American childrens futures nationwide!
Thank you for allowing me to vent, now I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject....
