Fair's Over..It's Halloween Time

We didn't end up gion on any rides Saturday night like we planned. There was some bad blood amongst the carnies and the locals and they were getting physically violent with one another so we felt it best not to have our children there just in case! The kids were okay with it though because we promised to take them bowling instead. Now, we are on to preparing for Halloween. We have been working on costume ideas to no avail. So far only my son has a costume, he is dressing as Batman this year. Though I'm not sure just yet how that's gonna play out, Batman wears a mask over his eyes and my son has glasses...hmm...! I have 3 girls that are in need of costumes and none of them know what they want to be yet! Arg! We were able though this past weekend to get up a few of our Halloween decorations for the front porch! Now I am in need of some pumpkins! Well, I know it's not that interesting but it's all I've got for now.

Fall Festival Activities

Well, the Fall Festival is in full swing and we are on day #3 of the 4 day event! Wednesday was the baby show and Prince/Princess contest on the stage in Oregon. My daughter Rayla placed first in the 18 - 24 month catergory. She was being such a show-off! :o)jShe was waving, blowing kisses, making faces and dancing around. I was totally shocked because she was being grumpy right before we went out on stage. She was given a blue ribbon and $3 cash.



My son Austin entered the Prince/Princess contest for 5 year olds. He won Prince! He now gets to ride in the parade on Saturday and he couldn't be more excited. He was doing such a good job of smiling and looking handsome, then the chairperson started to ask him question...oh,no...he wouldn't talk!! She finally got him to open up, whew, and he did a good job of answering her questions. Then he was standing in front of the judges, turns right around to look at me and sticks his tongue out!!! OMG!!! I was so embarassed! lol. But what can ya do, so I just said "That's my son!" Then I promptly met him around back of the stage and told him NO more of that! For his efforts he recieved a corsage, a purple ribbon, $5 cash and will be getting a medal on Saturday.



My oldest daughter Desiree entered the Jr. Miss contest this year which is for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in our county. She unfortunately did not place in this event but she still did an excellent job! She made the first cut. They started with 15 girls, cut to 7, then to 3. She was upset when they did not call her number for the final three, yes she was in tears...:*(...but she quickly regained her composture and is already making plans for next year.



My second oldest daughter Skyler was not able to compete this year but is looking forward to next years contest. They are all anxious for Saturday to get here. Well, that's all for now, will try to post more after Saturday is over!

Fall Festival

We are gearing up for our counties Fall Festival beginning next week. Rayla is going to be in the baby show. Austin will be up for Festival Prince and Desiree is entering the Junior Miss Queen contest. There are sadly no events for Skyler this year but she's still looking forward to watching her siblings and the general parade on Saturday! Still trying to think of a float idea for our business but not so sure we'll be entering this year! Well, that's all for now. I'll blog more later.

Baby News!!

Yes believe it or not I am pregnant AGAIN!!! THis is my fifth child and the fourth girl. Poor Austin! But so far the big kids all seem to be excited about our new addition, the only one I'm worried about is Rayla. She is a big time Momma's girl and gets jealous easily! I'm hoping she will adjust easily but I guess only time will tell. :o) We don't have any names picked out just yet; can't seem to find the right one! It'll come to us though! The Lord has blessed us many times over...I only hope He gives me the strength to handle everything that's on my plate!
